Very clever the Royal VKB Jar Tops..

Okay, this one may seem a bit random, but did you know 75% of jars sold world-wide use the ‘Twist-Off’ standard? (Neither did we; every day's a school day!)

Twist-Off method is used for food jars with metal or plastic screw caps, it’s why these jar tops by Royal VKB make use of the most common sizes used in the glass jar industry.

Designed by Jorre can Ast (he’s worth a google!), these jar tops transform a used, left-over jar into a usable kitchen implement once more. Very practical indeed!

Thanks to Ast, you can now turn your empty jars into a sugar shaker, milk jug, oil/vinegar bottle, water jug and, our personal favourite, chocolate sprinkler – ingenious!

Jorre van Ast

Jorre van Ast finished the 'Product Design'™ course at the Royal College of Art in London in 2006. After graduating he started working as independent designers from his studio in London, focusing on (interior) Products Design. For his work he received several awards, of which 'best overall entry'™ at Interieur 2006.
