Well, here we are, in the world of Pelican Pear. A strange place where anything goes, from watches to wrapping, cards to creations and, of course, gifts, glorious gifts.

Without blowing our own trumpets, Pelican Pear is brought to you by an intelligent, charming, good looking (at least we think so) father and son duo from the hills of Hereford.

Following decades of success in the building trade, Barny (the bright young son) and Nick decided one fine, summer’s day that they’d like to dabble in flowers.

Fortunately in the morning they changed their minds and decided to concentrate on something else. Well, it was a bad idea; I mean what do builders know about flowers?

But being inventive chaps, the idea soon morphed into the grand and prestigious Pelican Pear. A gift shop for all kinds of people, whether they’re flower lovers or just colourful characters.

Being both builders and men, the pair would often find themselves in the late hours of the day, sifting through the shelves at the local Shell garage, searching for an outstanding gift.

Then, one day, they decided enough was enough. It’s time to make buying presents easier.

We’re all on the hunt for that gleaming gift a loved one can adore, and we’ve all forgotten to buy it until it’s too late. Then we’ve had to frantically run from shop to shop in the quest for wrapping paper, a card, and, of course, the dreaded sticky tape.

Well, no more, (Drum roll please) because Pelican Pear is here to save your day, and lower the stress levels of every man and woman (perhaps) on the planet.

Okay, Barny and Nick aren’t quite superheroes, but they have created this site in the hope of loved ones around the world receiving the present they always wanted.

At Pelican Pear you can find that gift. A birthday gift that’s unique in every way, a work of art, a piece of beauty, a perfect present. Oh, and we also do cards!

We’ve spent months trawling through the best trade fairs, catalogues, magazines and websites to find the ultimate birthday gifts, Christmas presents and anniversary souvenirs, just for you.
